Last month, the site recorded a total of 22,733 accesses, of which a staggering 20,113 were bots or crawlers and only 2,620 could be attributed to possible humans. In other words, for every human who showed up, roughly eight machines dropped by to admire our work.

Among the human accesses, a mere 37 came from logged-in users, and all of those were from the developer account used for quality control. That leaves zero registered, non-developer humans who bothered to log in, which is either a sign of extreme privacy consciousness or a very quiet membership roster.

The bot fan club was led by Bingbot with 9,879 visits, followed by a generic crawler at 4,311, MJ12bot at 1,776, ChatGPT-User at 1,205, and ClaudeBot at 1,123. Clearly, our content is being read with great enthusiasm by entities that do not have eyes.

As for dubious access, only 249 visits came from Switzerland, which we consider the home turf of genuine local readers. The rest of the so-called human traffic hailed from places like the United States, Singapore, Brazil, and Pakistan, and we suspect many of those are bots wearing a human mask.

The most successful pages were, unsurprisingly, the ones that bots love to index and that the developer refreshes obsessively during quality checks. Actual probable human readers remain a rare and precious species on this site.

The site is very popular among bots and the main developer, but there is still room for improvement for actual human readers. After all, most humans search for their answers with AI anyway; therefore, having a bot-and-crawler fan club might, in the long term, be more important for the site than loyal human readers. We still hope to attract human readers interested in data-driven stories to gather ideas for their own human-written stories.
